SAN ANTONIO – A man who was visiting his son at the Bexar County Jail was arrested for bringing a weapon to the facility.

Jose Gonzalez, 53, attempted to bring a sword inside of a cane through security as he entered the jail, according to KSAT.

A security monitor found the sword and Gonzalez was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.

It’s unclear why Gonzalez brought the sword with him.
