Tenn. man arrested in shooting was free on bond in separate death

Man charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A 19-year-old Chattanooga man arrested in connection with a shooting Tuesday night was free on bond from murder charges in a separate shooting.

Police arrested Demetrius Bibbs on Wednesday for a shooting at 2601 Fourth Ave. that injured 28-year-old Guy Wilkerson. Police believe the shooting is gang-related, according to a news release.
