Larry Cattano of Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management needed a new support unit and contacted Odyssey for the project. Their budget was for a commercial steel walk in body but Odyssey was able to supply a custom aluminum body with a 10 year warranty. The advantages were designing the body to fit their exact requirements, saving weight burden on the chassis and a higher quality vehicle. This unit features outside compartments similar to emergency apparatus, NYPD style front bumper with a portable winch that can slide into a front or rear receiver and an interior work station. The custom electrical panels were on the front interior corner making it very accessible for service or modifications.
