sponsorship of the 2009 U.S. Corrections Special Operations Extreme (US C-SOG CorSpecOps) Mobile Tour

Joseph Garcia, one of the world’s most decorated experts in corrections special operations, is leading a team of law enforcement professionals that will visit 12 correctional agencies to train over 20,000 officers in areas including officer survival, tactical firearms, and high inmate risk transport, among others.
The cornerstone of the tour will be a custom 40-ft. rapid deployment trailer equipped with state-of-theart technology and equipment including satellite communications, munitions, body armor, medical triage kits and ballistic shields, part of over 150 components necessary for this specialized training. Garcia’s team of accomplished trainers has developed a program that is one to two days, depending on the size of the corrections agency and facility, which must meet certain criteria in order to be chosen as a stop on the tour. The session includes video, visual aids, one-on-one coaching and drills designed to give corrections officers the tools they need to survive any dynamic situation from a hostage takeover to a minor skirmish.
