The Striker 8" combines the support of a classic Danner with the light weight of a sneaker
Portland, OR - Danner introduces the lightweight, uninsulated Striker duty boot for Spring. Both the Striker 8" and Striker GTX 8" are ideal for active law enforcement and emergency personnel who need a supportive, comfortable boot without the weight. They join the Striker 45 and Striker 30 to create a complete family of high-performance duty boots from Danner.
Built on the innovative, patent-pending TERRA FORCE platform, these boots provide the support and durability of a classic Danner boot in a lightweight model. Originally designed for the outdoor cross training market, Danner extended TERRA FORCE technology across other product lines as well. The need for a lightweight, supportive boot to add foot and ankle protection while decreasing fatigue is especially important to uniformed personnel spending long shifts on their feet.
TERRA FORCE consists of four components, an insole plate, midsole, internal and external shanks and the Danner-designed, durable and slip-resistant Radical TF outsole. The upper is stitched to the midsole plate in the heel and forefoot for added stability in these key areas. The internal shank works with the insole plate to create a firm foundation while the external shank provides exceptional lateral and medial strength. The result is an incredibly lightweight yet stable base.
The Striker is made with 2.0-2.2mm full-grain leather and 1000 denier nylon. The polishable leather is struck-through so even when scuffed, these boots stay black. Its all eyelets lace-up system will accommodate a zipper for quick boot entry. Available in both Gore-Tex and non-Gore-Tex styles, these boots are ideally suited for active law enforcement and security personnel in all climates.
The Striker GTX 8" and Striker 8" will be available in men’s sizes 7-12, 13, 14D and 8-12, 13EE. The Striker GTX 8" will also be available in women’s sizes 6-11M. The Striker GTX 8" has a suggested retail price of $165 and the Striker 8" has a suggested retail price of $135.
