CARBONDALE — Illinois’ prison system is coming under fire from a trial lawyer speaking at the New Humanist forum in Carbondale.
Attorney James Chapman says Illinois prisons are dysfunctional, underfunded, and understaffed.
He was the keynote speaker for the event at Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship sponsored by the Peace Coalition of Southern Illinois.
