MANSFIELD, Ohio — An inmate is facing more charges after attacking a CO on Jan. 8.
Inmate Tracy Brooks, 32, has been charged with felonious assault for allegedly assaulting Officer Alexandria Strong, the Mansfield News Journal reports.
In released video, Strong and Brooks can be seen face-to-face before the altercation began. Strong says Brooks became unruly and refused to turn around to “cuff-up” after she called her an expletive several times. According to the incident report, when Strong tried to grab Brooks’ left wrist, Brooks punched her in the face, making Strong fall to her back.
A judge found probable cause to send the charge to a grand jury after a preliminary hearing on Jan. 25. The jury will hear the case and decide whether or not to indict Brooks in June
