HOPEWELL, NY — An inmate at the Ontario County Jail was arrested on charges of second-degree assault after allegedly biting a corrections officer.
Police say that Doreen Henderson, 56, was involved in an altercation with the officer when she chomped the officer’s hand, sending them to the hospital for treatment. The officer has since returned to work.
At the time of the incident, Henderson was being held on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
