Inmate allegedly sprays Tenn. CO with urine, feces

The deputy said he was attempting to restrain Chad Edwards when he was sprayed with the mixture

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — An inmate is facing additional charges after allegedly spraying a deputy with urine and feces. 

The deputy said he was attempting to restrain Chad Edwards to take him outside for recreation time when the inmate attacked, WKRN reported. Edwards allegedly pulled a squirt bottle from his jumpsuit and sprayed the deputy in the face with a mixture of feces and urine, WZTV reported.

Edwards is currently awaiting trial for first-degree murder and aggravated robbery. He now faces assault charges.
