Body found in lake ID’d as missing Calif. corrections officer

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The body of a missing Roseville man was positively identified, after being recovered at a Yuba County lake last week.

Tawfic Rashid, 42, was reported missing by his family on June 30, after he did not return from a fishing trip to Camp Far West.

His body was recovered from the water at Camp Far West on July 2, according to Yuba County Sheriff’s department public information officer Leslie Carbah.

Carbah said an autopsy will be scheduled this week.
