Inmate escapes from Alabama state prison facility

Austin Patrick Hall started a 117-month sentence on June 20 last year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — An inmate escaped from an Alabama Department of Corrections facility close to Selma late Sunday afternoon.

Austin Patrick Hall, 24, escaped from the Camden Work Release Center at around 5 p.m., according to a press release from ADOC. Hall started a 117-month sentence on June 20 last year after being found guilty of theft of property 2nd, according to court records.

“If you have any information concerning the whereabouts of this escapee, please notify your local law enforcement agency, the facility from which the inmate escaped or call the Alabama Dept. of Corrections at 1-8009831*8825,” said an ADOC press release.

Hall is described as being a white male weighing 180 lbs. and standing 5 foot 9 inches. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
