PARCHMAN, Miss. — Both inmates who escaped from Mississippi’s largest prison are back in custody.
Officials arrested James Sanders Tuesday outside a home in Arkansas, WREG reported. Ryan Young was arrested Wednesday in Mississippi.
Sanders and Young escaped sometime Sunday night from Mississippi State Penitentiary. How they escaped is still under investigation.
Crime Stoppers was offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who had information that led to the inmates’ capture. There’s no word yet if someone will receive the reward.
Sanders, 41, is serving a life sentence for a 1998 murder. Young, 22, is serving a 40-year sentence for burglary of a vehicle, burglary of a residence, grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
