NASHVILLE — A teen murder suspect has been recaptured by authorities in Nashville nearly one week after he escaped from a Tennessee juvenile detention facility with three other young inmates.

Morris Marsh was taken into custody Friday night at a gas station following a car chase involving the Juvenile Crime Task Force, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department announced in a tweet. He was previously arrested and charged with murder in the April slaying of 19-year-old Charles Easley.

His brother, Rashon Keesee, was driving at the time of the chase while his mother, Tewanna Keesee, “ran to the vehicle as officers converged on it,” police said. They were both arrested on the scene and charged with being Marsh’s accessories.

The 17-year-old fled from the Davidson County Juvenile Detention facility on Nov. 30 along with three other suspects, identified as 15-year-old Calvin Howse, 16-year-old Decorrius Wright and 17-year-old Brandon Caruthers.

Authorities said all four teens busted out of the detention center around 10 p.m. while they were on a work detail. They “managed to get onto an elevator and used staff protocols to ride to the ground floor where they went through a series of doors and exited to the outside.”

Police on Tuesday recaptured Howse and Wright, who is facing a murder charge in the February slaying of Nashville musician Kyle Yorlets. He’s one of five teens – all between the ages of 12 and 16 – accused of robbing the 24-year-old entertainer and then shooting him dead when he refused to give up his car keys.

Wright’s 15-year-old girlfriend was also arrested earlier this week for helping him avoid capture in the days after his escape, police said.

Howse had been behind bars since his November arrest on auto theft and gun possession charges.

The fourth teen, Caruthers, remained at large Thursday and is believed to be in the Nashville area.

Following his escape, he was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations Most Wanted List. He is being charged as an adult in an armed robbery case from August last year.

The agency is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.
