NEW YORK — A surveillance camera inside the Rikers Island correctional facility in The Bronx captured the shocking moment an inmate accused of assaulting two women over the summer punched a female medical intern in the face.
The incident took place Wednesday morning, leaving the victim, 24-year-old Stephanie Porcelli, with a broken jaw and multiple facial fractures.
The culprit behind the videotaped attack has been identified as Joseph McRae, 24. He was arrested July 30, 2013, on two counts of assault for allegedly striking two women in the face at Penn Station.
