MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — An Oregon prosecutor says two Yamhill County Jail inmates are accused of second-degree manslaughter in the death of a third inmate.

County District Attorney Bradley Berry said Friday night that an autopsy showed 34-year-old Jed Hawk Myers of McMinnville was a homicide victim and died Thursday from multiple physical injuries and extensive internal bleeding.

Myers had complained of an “unknown medical problem” Wednesday night and been transferred to a medical observation cell, where he later died.

Berry says Joshua Mulbreght and Zachary Chronister have been arrested and each charged with a single count of manslaughter. The prosecutor says both men were in custody at the time of the homicide and housed in an area with Myers. They are expected to be arraigned Monday.

Myers was taken into custody May 24 and was being held on a warrant for parole and probation violation.
