NEW YORK – Tightened measures on Rikers Island seems to have pushed one corrections officer to the breaking point, after she was caught on surveillance camera mooning her colleagues.

The Daily News reports that CO Colleen Ellis, 48, was asked to take her belt off before walking through a metal detector. She decided to do them one better.

A photo shows Ellis with her pants around her ankles, mooning those standing behind her. Though she was called into acting Chief of Department Martin Murphy’s office, Ellis has not yet been formally punished.

“This is an isolated incident which is under investigation,” said department spokesman Robin Campbell. “While we cannot speak about individual disciplinary action, staff who do not comply with our new security procedures will be held accountable.”

Ellis has been with the DOC since 2008.
