BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — A woman arrested for violating her probation by owning one too many weapons left booby traps that injured deputies working to clear her home of thousands of blades Wednesday.

WTSP reports that the sheriff’s office believes Nickcole Dykema intentionally “booby trapped” her home by hiding blades in blankets, floors, her yard, and even pins and needles in handles.

Deputies injured were treated for minor injuries at a medical facility.

In all, they removed 3,714 bladed weapons from the property; a satanic shrine and fake bloody body parts were also recovered.

Investigators were brought to Dykema’s home after she was caught on surveillance video slashing up a neighbor’s screens and air conditioning unit. It’s unclear what she was originally on probation for, but it was a violation of her probation to have a single weapon, much less over 3,000.

Despite being on probation, the Florida Department of Corrections says its probation officer wasn’t required to make home visits.

Dykema is facing charges of three counts of probation violation, property damage/criminal mischief, and assault on a law enforcement officer. She is being held without bond.
