LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two inmates escaped from the Community Corrections Center in downtown Louisville Monday by tying bed sheets together to climb down the side of the four-story building.
WKTV reports that one inmate, Christopher A. Cornelius, was already back in custody early Tuesday morning. Authorities are still searching for Matthew William Johnson. Both escaped while they were “assigned to an interior work detail.”
Both were being held at the facility for alleged heroin possession and warrants have been issued for both charging them with felony escape.
