COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Officials with the Georgia Department of Public Health and Cobb County said that an inmate at the Cobb County Jail has tested negative for the Ebola virus.
Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren said that the man was arrested on DUI and other traffic charges early Friday. The suspect had flu-like symptoms and told authorities that he had recently been to Africa.
The inmate was isolated and then transferred to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.
