As of April 30, we are aware of 32 correctional officers who have died as a result of COVID-19. There are thousands more under quarantine or who have tested positive. Dozens are living away from home, some in RVs or sleeping in their cars so as to not endanger their loved ones. This is a five-minute video by officers from around the country, telling a story very few hear. Please distribute this far and wide and post it on as many social media platforms as you can. Only when the public sees us for who and what we are and hears our voices will we draw the attention our profession so desperately needs. Now more than ever these stories must be told. I look forward to your comments. Thank you, be safe.
