Contraband: Hidden compartment in sneakers

A C1 member from Connecticut sent in the below pictures. Correctional staff found an inmate had sneakers that appeared to have a special compartment manufactured inside of them.

Inside the hidden compartment, correctional officers found a cell phone.

Drugs, tobacco, shanks and other contraband could be placed in this hidden pouch.

It takes a keen eye to spot this pouch, since from a distance these shoes look like regular sneakers.
