BALTIMORE — A former Baltimore corrections officer who had a child with a gang leader inmate was sentenced to two years in federal prison Friday.

Katera Stevenson, 24, one of four corrections officers impregnated by Black Guerrilla Family leader Tavon White, had pleaded guilty previously for her role helping to smuggle contraband into the city jail. U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz also ordered her to three years of supervised release.

Prosecutors noted that she had “Tavon” tattooed on her wrist.

Also Friday, Linnard “Stu” Wortham, 29, of Pikesville, was given 10 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Ellen Hollander for supplying banned items including marijuana to corrections officers to smuggle into the facility for inmates. Wortham’s sentence was enhanced after prosecutors determined he was a “career offender” based on his prior record.

Another outside supplier, Teshawn Pinder, received time served and three years supervised probation on Feb. 19.

A day later, Motz sentenced former corrections officer Danielle Forrest, 28, to 21 months in prison; and former officers Jasmin Jones, 24, and Tanierdra Finch, 26, each to one year and one day in prison. Vivian Matthews received six months of home detention.

A total of 27 corrections officers were charged in the case, which revealed widespread corruption at the jail. Three were acquitted at trial.
