CHARDON, Ohio — Inmates at the Geauga County jail are now banned from receiving personal items after an inmate overdosed on heroin that his girlfriend sewed into a pair of underwear.

News Net 5 reports that the inmate is currently recovering in the hospital and will face charges.

Idonna Laskowki, 31, was arrested for taking the seam apart in a pair of underwear, slipping in a small package of heroin and then resealing it. Investigators also arrested the drug dealer that Laskowki received the heroin from.

Visitors are no longer allowed to bring any clothing to the inmates at the jail. Inmates will be required to wear disposable underwear available at the commissary.
