VCS Unveils the POSS Self-Serve Kiosk
Freehold, NJ – VCSI, the Public Safety Scheduling Consultancy & Software Corporation, recently unveiled the POSS Self Serve Kiosk at the California Police Chiefs Association Conference in Fresno. This brand new product is a standalone interface to POSS, which will allow employee access to his/her schedule with user-friendly touch screen technology. The Kiosk allows Fingerprint Identification (Biometrics), HID Proximity Reader, or Screen Sign-On ability using employees’ pin numbers. The kiosk is designed to be mounted on wall, pole, or on a table or desk.
Excited about possibly implementing this new technology in their agency, the Fresno Police Department (longtime POSS customers) tested the kiosk software on a mobile data terminal (MDT) in one of their patrol cars. It was demonstrated utilizing a cellular frequency and was found to maintain employee’s schedules accurately and expediently. This will save employees a lot of time, taking away their need to go into Headquarters to fill out an overtime slip or to view their schedules. The Self Serve Kiosk is also designed for the Fire Rescue Scheduling System (FIRES). For more information on the POSS or FIRES kiosks, visit: www.policescheduling.com or www.firescheduling.com
