Texas Chooses Easy Street Draw from Trancite
Trancite has teamed up with IBM to deliver incident diagramming for the Crash Records Information System (CRIS) deployed over the entire state of Texas.
The Crash Record Information System (CRIS) project is a joint initiative between the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Department of Transportation (TxDOT). In September of 2003 DPS awarded IBM the contract to build CRIS. CRIS will utilize commercial off the shelf (COTS) products that will be integrated to create the Texas CRIS. CRIS will go live in January of 2005, which will be followed by a six month Transition Phase for support of the application. CRIS is hosted at the Texas State Data Centers at San Angelo and Austin.
