First Choice Response to Industry Comments Regarding Zylon

We would like to respond to comments by any manufacturers casting an industry wide - net regarding zylon to explain unfortunate incidents involving officers wearing their product. We believe our production processes ensure that our products will perform as intended.

Please be advised that First Choice Armor & Equipment Inc.'s unique and exclusive Zylon product is totally different than any of the competition. Our product is manufactured ( Patent Pending ) from a multi-woven bonded process. Our vests are thicker and have a higher arial density than our competition. Through extensive in-house testing, we have found First Choice Zylon products to perform according to spec. We have done additional environmental testing to simulate the aging and extreme heat process and have found the product to perform according to specification. First Choice Armor & Equipment, Inc. does extensive and intensive ballistic testing of our products, which far exceeds NIJ's testing protocol, i.e., number of rounds shot into a single panel, type of rounds, distance the panel is shot at (0" - 3'), and "fair hit" distance between bullets, and from the edge.
