Hillsborough County FL Sheriffs Office Authorizes LaserMax for Duty Use

Hillsborough Co. SD authorizes GLOCK, SiG, Beretta and Smith & Wesson handguns in 9mm, .45 and .357 caliber models.
According to Sgt. Bobby King, the Hillsborough Co. SD Command Staff unanimously approved the LaserMax, stating that "the LaserMax will be a great asset to the street patrol officers." Sgt. King advises that the SOPs are being written now. Instructor training will follow, at which point they will run the street patrol officers through training and qualification on their LaserMax sights, all in the next two weeks. Hillsborough County FL Sheriff's Office serves the greater metropolitan Tampa FL area, with a population exceeding one million people.
