ROSELLE PARK — Antrell Allen, 40, was charged with two counts of burglary, robbery, aggravated assault and resisting arrest on Jan. 22.

According to police, officers responding to a report of a burglary in progress in the Sunrise Village apartment complex saw two men struggling in a driveway on the 100 block of Jerome Street.

One of the men, an off-duty corrections officer, allegedly found two men in his apartment at approximately 4:30 p.m. after returning from a trip to the grocery store. The intruders allegedly struck him before fleeing the apartment.

The resident identified himself as a law enforcement officer before pursuing the suspects, tackling one of them in the parking lot, police said, adding that the other suspect ran to a waiting silver Chrysler Town and Country minivan and fled the area.
