SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. — A warrant was issued Wednesday for David Earl Windle, 40, who was sentenced to six years in prison in 2006 for assault with a deadly weapon. He was on parole but didn't participate in the required GPS monitoring, according to officials.

Windle also was convicted of rape in 1997 and has had several misdemeanor charges of failing to register as a sex offender, according to electronic court records.

He also plead guilty to battery in 2001.

Windle is white, about 5-foot-7, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Windle should consider him dangerous and immediately call local law enforcement, according to the CDCR.
