Charges dismissed against Ariz. COs

Defense accused prosecution of presenting the case unfairly

Tucson, Ariz. — Charges against five former Pima County corrections officers have been dismissed after defense attorneys accused prosecutors of unfairly presenting the case.

The case will now go before a new grand jury, according to Tucson News. No date has been set for the new grand jury to hear the case.

All five officers plus two others were fired from their jobs after the incident.
