Inmate allegedly turns toothbrush into weapon

Corrections officer found a toothbrush with a piece of metal melted into it during a cell search

ROGERSVILLE — Turning a toothbrush into a weapon resulted in additional criminal charges against a Church Hill man already housed in the Hawkins County Jail.

Christopher Shane Seiber, 36, 978 Valley View Road, Church Hill, was jailed on a burglary and a failure to appear charge. Now he faces a charge of introduction of a weapon into a penal institution.
